 I've been to Salon B twice: the first time for coloring, and the second time for a haircut. Both times I booked an appt with Avery. I just moved to Sac a couple of months ago, and have always been really hesitant to have new people cut my hair, but Avery is great! He really listens to what you want, and takes his time. Everyone at the salon is friendly, including the front desk people. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a new salon to go to. I used to fly back down to SoCal to have my hair done, but I'm so glad I have finally found a place I feel comfortable with! |

The first thing you will notice at Salon B is the staff is very friendly and welcome you in as if you are a friend. No snotty atmosphere here, no way.
They are all very professional and innovative. You will find that there is each one of the staff is extremely knowledgeable and continuing to sharpen themselves independently and as a team. Beauty and brains!

Ever since I was a young girl, my obsession was hair. I always want to try all different things with my hair. At Salon B i found this very possible. I can honestly say I probably have been to every salon in Sacramento, probably some out of Sacramento to. But i can guarantee that I have stopped my search and found Salon B to be my permenant Salon. Kathleen (my hair dresser) is ABSOLUTLEY WONDERFUL!!!! As picky as I am, and as often as I want changes she works with me till she knows I am satisfied. One minute I want to be a pitch Black and with in the next two weeks I want to go to a cinnamom brown. In previous Salons I have had hair dressers try to talk me out of changes, espectially from going dark to light to dark again, as that is very hard. However Cathleen makes it possible. She can even take me from short to long!!! Yes hair extensions. My new obsession and addiction. I have tried different hair extensions and havn't had a good experiecne. But Hair Locks are the BEST!!! They allow me to move my hair freely still,not being stuck with just one style like my previous extensions. Also noone can tell I have hair extensions. I love love love love them. Only bad thing I don't like about them, once you get them, there is no turning back. You just want more more more. Kathleen knows this. She also works with my budget, lets me order some, and then when I can afford it she will order more. Shr also works with me to squeeze me in a appointment if I really need one. SHe really works with her customer to ensure that they are happy. Salon B has a very friendly and family like atmosphere. Everyone there is like a big family. Thats what I love. Kathleen has set up a very comfortable atmosphere so her clients are free to talk and express themselves. She is very friendly and always makes sure that her customers are happy. I don't think I could ever see myslef going to anyother Salon or hair dresser. I love Kathleen and I can completlety trust her with my hair. |

I found the hair style I was looking for. Craig at Salon b has the gift! I'm very picky when it comes to my hair. I play in a rock band so I like a cut that I can have fun with but at the same time I need something that I can tame for the ol' day job. Craig suggested making my cut current and edgy and by doing so eliminating the need for color or bleach (Brilliant idea. Loved it). Simplicity with forward thinking -That's the cut I wanted and that's the cut I got. By my second visit to Salon b I was talking with the staff on a first name basis. That's the kind of atmosphere I like to be surrounded by. |

So, as a mom of two I went to Malerie not knowing what I want, but needing something different and hot! SO, I come out looking gorgeous! My cut is perfectly manageable and the color is incredible. She knew just what to do and did it! I left the salon feeling good about myself and not like just a stay at home mom of two beauty's.

I entered Salon B for a hair cut and color, and left with a new sense of myself!
As odd as this sounds it true. My stylist was a cute professional by the name of Malerie.
She was attentive, conversational and knew when to listen. Her ideas ranged from good to great. Creative to fashion forward. I felt as if her design abilities superceded my hairs potential.
I have returned to Salon B, and Malerie multiple time now and i feel she has become more of my Hairapist, than my stylist. In her chair i receive a good cut , great color and an inner inspiration to be as successful as my hair.

I can't tell you how excited I am to have discovered Salon B!! I moved here from So. Calif. almost two years ago and have not been able to find great hair designers or colorists.
The atmosphere is very open, lofty; everyone is very warm and friendly, and the designers are trendy, funky, tasteful, and make you feel special!

The salon has very clean and spacious decor along with happy and friendly stylists.
Kathleen has been my hair stylist for 25 years, and she is well known not only in California, but all over the country as well for her skill.

The service at Salon b is awesome. They actually acknowledge I exist and have welcomed me each time I have been there. I have never had my hair colored before and they told me each step before doing it and told me what to expect and ask what me expectations were before doing the coloring. It as been a great experience; it takes longer than I thought (2-3 hours) but the end product has been worth it. I do not feel rushed too show up 'exactly' on time either though. An overall wonderful experience. |

I travel from Reno to Salon b every three months and have been doing so for 7 years. Kathleen has been styling my hair and I receive many compliments from my friends as well as my husband who likes it too. The salon is always upbeat and modern, and everyone makes me feel so welcome. Even though I travel some distance, I feel that the service is exemplary and well worth the trip. All of the staff and stylists are accommodating and friendly. I have a great hair cut! Its not just that I think so, People stop me often to tell me that and ask where I get my hair done. In the grocery store, strangers on the street, on airlines--lots of compliments. I have been following Kathleen for many years and I never have to worry about how my hair looks. I walked in during my break without making an appointment and asked them if i could get a haircut for an hour. Craig accepted the challenge and pulled through. Since moving here to Elk Grove from SF 7 years ago, it's been quite a challenge trying to find a salon that 1) listens to my concerns over the texture and maintenance of my hair 2) is skilled and specializes in their craft to work with ethnic hair.
Lindsey at Salon b is an outstanding stylist who definitely is a natural at her craft. I cannot imagine going to any other salon in Sacramento. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you feel pampered and welcomed!
Five stars to this salon and stylist. I just can't wait to have my hair colored there! |

I have relied on Salon b for my hair care ever since it opened, and was a regular customer at its sister salon, Salon Bravissimo, two years prior. Even now when I go to school in another state I always make sure I have a hair appointment set up during breaks because I know the staff at Salon b will take the best care of my hair. The stylists are friendly and personable, always trying to make sure that you're completely satisfied with your look. The colorists are phenomnenal are are more than willing to give you tips on how to retain your hair color as well as simple styling suggestions. There is also an extensive product line for your every styling need. Don't be hesitant to ask for advice! They're sure to recommend the best product for your hair. Also, if there's an upcoming wedding or other special event, Salon b stylists are extremely gifted at creating wonderful up-dos and other chic looks so you're sure to look amazing. If you're unsatisifed with your current stylist, or just want a great new hair-do, you're guaranteed to love the salon b experience! |

I love this salon! Kathleen and Scott have been coloring and cutting my hair for almost six years. A few years ago I tried a few other salons for a change, and I came right back after five months. They always spend time discussing what we're going to do, and advise me accordingly. I was just recently in Sacramento for a wedding, I had never been to Sacramento before nor did i know what I was going to do about my hair, so I took a chance by surfing on the internet to find a hair salon close to the hotel we were staying at that is how I came across Salon B. I walked in and felt right at home they make you feel so welcome, my boyfriend even came with me hoping that he could get a hair cut while I was getting my hair done. He walked right in and got seen right away and his hair turned out fantastic, my hair turned out so incredible even the photographer wanted a picture of my hair and I was just a guest I wasn't even a part of the wedding, I got so many compliments from everyone. I just want to say thank you for making me look so wonderful! |

I moved here from San Diego and the only thing I missed was my stylist. I found Salon B here on City Search and read about Amy. The reviwer raved about her ability to cut and style curly hair. So I made an appointment. Amy spend time disussing my history of my hair, how I take care of it each day, products I use and what I may be looking for in any change. Then she told me what she saw as how to cut and style my hair and how did I like her suggestions. All this before she washed and conditioned my hair. I was attending a business event that evening so she styled it extra special. I recieved nothing but raves on my hair and was even told I looked 10 years younger. The true test of a hair cut is how it looks 2 weeks after the cut. I can testify that my hair looked even better as it grew out then the day Amy cut it. Since moving to the Sacramento area in November, I have been driving to San Francisco to get my hair done by a trusted friend and stylist. I finally got tired of paying almost $100 for my cut+tip, gas money, parking fees, and bridge tolls and decided it was time to find someone closer. I have had many bad experiences whenever I move and try to find a new stylist, so I was a little worried about being able to find a good salon. I read most of the reviews for salon b, and booked an appointment with Lindsay. I had not had a haircut in three months, and the shape of my cut was completely gone. After a short conversation, Lindsay got to work and did an awesome job! She updated my cut and gave me exactly what I wanted, even though she had little to work with! The salon has a relaxed feel, and the staff seemed happy and friendly. I have already booked my second appointment, after learning the added bonus: my haircut was about half the cost of what I have been paying to drive to San Francisco. An urban salon at an affordable cost: priceless!!! |

Years ago I found the best colorist, she was nice fun to talk to and did the best work, and then she had to move to SF and I was unable to go and see her. I was forced to try to find another colorist in town, which is not an easy thing to do. Thank goodness she moved back to sacramento! Plus she was even better at color than she was before (I didn't even think that was possible)! She is a perfectionist so you will not leave the salon disappointed, which I can not say about the places I had to go while she was gone. Go and see Corina at Salon B and you will be happy you did! |

I've been going to Kathleen ever since I finished college and started my career. This means 14 years of compliments on my hair. Not only are Scot and Kathleen masters of their craft, but they are delightful people.
It is always a fun afternoon when I have my Salon appointment. It is a testament to Kathleen's talent and precision that she can exchange in occasionally raucous banter and tend to my hair without having accidentally snipped off a part of my ear or paint a strip of hair color paste down my face.
All kidding aside, when you need your hair to be fabulous, you go to Scot and Kathleen. |

After going through all of the salons listed on this site I settled on Salon B. I had previously been to one of the other salons listed and had a bad experience - so I was a bit nervous about trying yet another salon. I shouldn't have been. When I called the salon the receptionist was very professional and asked if I wanted to come in that very day or another day! I told her that I needed someone who was experiencd with curly hair and she recommended Amy.
Amy spent quite a bit of time talking with me about what I wanted, what I needed, and what would work best with my very curly hair. I really appreciated the time that she took and that she didn't seem rushed or annoyed with my explanations of past experiences. (I should add that I really wanted "something new". Many salons that I've been to previously have been reluctant to do anything but what I already had.)
When we finally settled on what Amy would do I sat back and let her do her work. Amy spent quality time on my hair, didn't rush and ended up giving me a fantastic cut! I couldn't be happier!! She has a great personality and I really enjoyed talking with her - it was a really relaxing experience. In the past with other hair dressers I was always having to wonder if they knew what they were doing - but with Amy I could tell she was a pro. She also offered several good tips on how to take care of my hair. So far everyone that has seen my hair loves it - even my husband and he never wants me to change my hair.
This salon has a very strict training program - all of the hairdressers are well trained, and the other clients looked great when they were done. The actual salon is very nice - with an airy feeling and had a really nice atmosphere. There was no high sales pressure which I really appreciated.
I would highly recommend this salon and especially Amy. And for anyone that has curly hair - Amy is the cutter for you!! I'm so glad to have finally found someone that I can go to again!! |

I just made my way from an appointment at Salon B ,which is the latest name and location for Kathleen and Scott Clark's Hair Salon. I have followed them from location to location and now ,new name ,because they are that good. They have consistently proved themselves to be the best at cut, color, styling. They love what they do and appear dedicated to ongoing training of themselves and their staff. Their staff stylists talk about the rigorous training that they have beyond their license. To a stylist, they have said, that it is hard but really worth it. In fact, they are very often returning from some exotic locale ( Milan, Italy) or Vidal Sassoon's in L.A. Pretty impressive. I am truly a loyal fan! |

Everyone from the moment you walk in the door to the receptionist to the stylists to the world-class owners, Kathleen and Scot, you will feel like a million bucks!!! Just recently, I went in to pick me up after recovering from a serious car accident and Corina along with Lindsay picked my spirits up off the floor and placed it back into my head, LOL. They helped me to walk out of their salon with dignity and respect and they comforted me, while they transformed my look into oh, my God, everyone: strangers, family members and friends, all say, "Wow, you look amazing." Corina made my lifeless eyes shine sky blue again with her ability with color artistry, and Lindsay is an artist with her shears. She gave me a very complimentary cut while my hair recovers from a few haircuts that were not Lindsay's. I should never have gone to anyone, but Salon B. Together both of them straightened my curly hair with the Yuko hair straightening process. I highly recommend it to anyone with fine processed hair. It saved me hours of time blow-drying and straightening, plus I physically could not keep my arms up to style my hair every day, with me still recovering from my accident. So for anyone with physical limitations or even time limitations, the Yuko process is the step you want to take. At Salon B, I know that I will walk out of their door looking better than I did the other way around; and, we have all walked into a salon and walked out and asked our self, "What just went wrong?" LOL. Well, you WILL NEVER worry about one of those moments at Salon B, the "No Worry" salon outside of Beverly Hills right in our neighborhood. Without a doubt, they are the Beverly Hills of Sacramento!!!! Try them out you will love me for telling you to go, so go, LOL!!! |

Salon b is great! I recently got my hair colored by Corina, who is an amazing color specialist. I went in knowing that I wanted a more natural look but I really wanted it to be fun. My hair was dull and lifeless when I first went to see Corina, and she completely changed that. She was able to look at my complexion and know exactly what color would compliment me, and it does! Not only is she amazing with natural colors but she is not afraid to play with fun wild colors. I get compliments on my hair color everywhere I go, and I'll never go to anyone else to color my hair again.
I also got the Yuko hair straightening by Corina and Linsday. My hair used to be a frizzing curly/wavy mess. I had to blow-dry my hair straight, and then flat iron it piece by piece. After getting my hair straightened all I have to do is blow-dry my hair and quickly run a flat iron through the ends to give it a smoother look. Overall, it went from taking me 30 mins. to an hour to do my hair, to now at the most 10 minutes and my hair is done! And it stays looking straight, shiny and healthy looking all day long.
I recommend Salon b to all my friend and family. All of the stylists seem to be extremely talented and work together to make the salon a fun, relaxed and professional place to be. |

Salon B, fun, energetic place to have a variety of hair services performed. My stylist Lindsay is great! She takes care of my hair needs, with or without an appointment. She is thorough, very friendly and fun. When she is finished, I feel like a million dollars. I can not recommend Lindsay any more. In fact I have recommended her to several friends and they too are very happy. I even recommended by boss to her and she thanks every time she sees Lindsay. |

I had been researching all the salons in the Sacramento area to find the best place to have the Yuko Thermal Straightening done and hair extentions added into my fine curly hair. I met with several stylists at different salons and hands down felt the most comfortable with Salon B. Lindsay and Corina are both certified Yuko experts and they have chosen to work as a team to provide the best thermal straightening service you can get. This is the way the system is intended to be done as you would only see in the Yuko Salon in Beverly Hills and Salon B in Sacramento. Not only is your service going to be better you also don't have to spend the whole day at the salon. I then went over my options with Lindsay about hair extentions (she is a hair extention goddess). I had heard about other methods such as bonding and braiding but after seeing the locking method I knew it was the least damaging and looked the most natural. You would never know that I was born with fine curly hair that refused to grow. My hair is now staight and full and beautiful. I feel like a new person. I highly recommend you see these girls. They are fantastic! |

The wonderful thing about Corina is not only her expertise and perfectionism, but also her versatility. She is fabulous with beautiful and natural colors and she is also extremely talented with cutting edge creativity for the most vibrant and stunning hair colors.
I have learned that Corina was trained in San Francisco where she was the head of the color department and the salon color educator for one of the leading salons in Union Square, San Francisco! She has returned to her native Sacramento and discovered the perfect salon to showcase her talent. |

I have been going to the owners of this salon for over eighteen years and they never fail to impress. I want a new cut, I get what I want made to order. A new color, no problem and it's all you when you're done! Scot and Kathleen have asembled another winning team of professionals they've trained to cut and color like pros every single time. In my book, the best thing about this salon and it's people is consistency. When Scot told me they were selling Salon Bravissimo and starting a new place, I was distraught but not to worry. Many of the people came with them and now you get a bird's-eye view like being in a tree house while you get pampered and beautified. The new Howe avenue location is even better than being by a bakery and I thought I would miss the chocolate chewies--but NO! It's restful and no fishbowl now. |

I'm less than "low maintenace" when it comes to my hair. Amy listened, and gave me a style that I love!! As for my highlights, I constantly get compliments! Amy is amanzing with color. I recently got married, and the stylist at the hotel that did my up-do raved about the depth of my color, and how natural it looked. The salon is very comfortable, friendly and concerned about their customers. My only complaint is getting to the salon. I've been twice since they opened, and gotten lost both times. But it's more than worth the hunt in finding them. |

Avery Clark did my hair for Senior Ball. He had me meet him a week before the big day to tell him what I wanted which I thought was really nice. When I came in on the day of Sr. Ball he had it all planned out what he was going to do and the end result looked amazing. He listened to what I wanted done and did such a great job. I was so excited! It really made my night because I felt so beautiful. I highly recommend Avery for an up-do because he really works hard and knows what he's doing! |
